We're Here to Listen!
Nestled in the beautiful Irish Hills of Onsted, near Michigan International Speedway, my Onsted clinic serves all of Lenawee County and the surrounding areas, including Brooklyn, Jackson, Hillsdale, Ann Arbor, Grass Lake, Napoleon, Manchester and Chelsea residents.
The Canton location is at 7272 Sheldon Rd. and services all of Canton, Plymouth, Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, Westland, Bloomfield Hills, Livonia, Romulus, Belleville, and other surrounding areas.
My 30 years of experience of inpatient, outpatient and community service work enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. I passionately believe that the therapeutic relationship can promote positive long lasting changes. Change for individuals, couples and families comes through learning and practicing skills that guide them on the path towards emotionally intelligent relationships, overcoming self-defeating attitudes and discovering how exhilarating life experiences can be.
I treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples by using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Other modalities, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) & Mindfulness drawn upon as needed.
The Gottman method is utilized with couples and other areas of expertise I specialize in are depression, anxiety, substance abuse / dependency, grief and loss, women's issues, difficult life transitions, adolescent issues and personality disorders.
My focus is to help individuals, couples and families heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral, comfortable, and safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan to meet your needs.
I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
Pioneers in relationship science, Drs. John and Julie Gottman have revolutionized our understanding of marriage, relationships, and couples therapy. They draw upon four decades of breakthrough research with more than 3,000 couples. The Sound Relationship House Theory is the foundation of the Gottman Method, which uses a practical approach to help couples break through barriers to achieve greater understanding, connection, and intimacy in their relationships.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and treatment, I am able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship therapy can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Sessions are held with both individuals, utilize the Gottman Method and is a supportive place to discuss issues, learn how to manage conflict and how to speak one another's love language to better strengthen your relationship.
